Recently, our company completed the displacement project of 4 shore bridges in Nansha, Guangzhou, setting a record for shore bridge displacement efficiency and domestic SPMT transportation height. In order to meet the operational needs of large container ships on international routes at Nansha Port, the existing quay crane is now being raised and renovated to enhance the overall competitiveness of the terminal. After the renovation of the quay crane, berth adjustments are required. After considering various factors, it has been decided to adopt the SPMT module vehicle transportation process< Assignment time: April 6th to April 9th, 2020 Equipment used: 72 axis SPMT+6PPU+24 axis connecting beam Cargo specifications: Weight 1660 tons, length 152 meters, width 27 meters, height 90.3 meters, center of gravity height 45.662 meters.
There are two right angle turns in the lateral movement path of the quay crane, which greatly test the practical ability of the project team in a container yard with limited space. After reaching the designated location, the quay crane needs to be accurately positioned on the work track. This is the first case in China to use SPMT for shore bridge relocation and transfer, achieving same day relocation and production, providing strong support for future port machinery delivery, maintenance and transformation, relocation and transfer and other related processes.
