From November 2020 to February 2021, our company successfully completed the high-pressure vessel transportation task for the Huayue Nickel Cobalt (Indonesia) wet process project. The Huayue Nickel Cobalt (Indonesia) Wet Process Project adopts the most advanced third-generation high-pressure acid leaching process internationally to extract nickel cobalt hydroxide from laterite ore. The core equipment of its process technology is a high-pressure reactor with a diameter of 5.3 meters, a total length of 41 meters, and a single total weight of 860 tons. After the project is put into operation, it will be beneficial to change the current industrial pattern of the world's nickel cobalt industry.
Guangying, as the logistics carrier of this project, is responsible for the end-to-end transportation of 4 high-pressure reaction vessels from the domestic manufacturing factory to the project site in Indonesia. The work includes loading, binding, shipping, rolling and unloading of the domestic section of the reaction vessels, on-site short dumping, installation and positioning. In the early stage of the
project, we went through long-term and meticulous planning. Due to the serious epidemic situation in China and Indonesia, we organized various work closely throughout the process, cooperated closely with various construction units, overcame the impact of the epidemic, and worked hard day and night on site to solve various technical problems. We successfully completed the equipment transportation task and will complete the subsequent equipment installation work during the Spring Festival period. During the construction of the receiving dock, in order to meet the actual needs of the owners, we dispatched engineers to the project site two months in advance to assist during the severe spread of the overseas epidemic, providing strong support for the smooth construction of the dock. During the execution of the
project, it was the rainy season in Indonesia. Prior to the operation, we organized personnel to carefully inspect the transportation roads and made comprehensive emergency preparations for possible problems, thereby ensuring the safety of the reactor during transportation. We have won the trust and appreciation of the owners with our cautious and responsible professional attitude. Due to the impact of the epidemic, the customs have put forward stricter requirements for the berthing procedures of overseas vessels. The project team ensured the smooth shipment of the high-pressure reactor through timely communication and coordination with relevant units within a limited time, and actively cooperated in implementing national epidemic prevention and control policies. By using SPMT for millimeter level precise positioning of high-pressure vessels, the installation efficiency has been doubled compared to traditional installation processes, greatly saving installation time and costs, and helping customers achieve project construction goals as soon as possible. The
Huayue Nickel Cobalt (Indonesia) Wet Process Project is another major practice of CNOOC Guangying in response to the national "the Belt and Road" initiative. In the process of project operation, we overcame various adverse factors during the epidemic, and successfully completed the transportation task with professional technical strength, scientific on-site management, and high morale, accumulating valuable experience for the follow-up the Belt and Road project.
