Yangxi Shaba Phase 345 Offshore Boosting Station Roll on/Roll off Project

Recently, our company successfully completed the roll on/roll off project for the Yangxi Sabah Phase 345 offshore booster station, setting a record for the largest roll on/roll off of a single offshore booster station. The booster station weighs about 4200 tons and measures approximately 51.4 meters by 41.2 meters by 22.4 meters. Our company uses the 136 axis SPMT to transport the booster station from the construction site to the front of the dock, roll on/roll off onto the deck barge, and place the booster station on the transport fixture. The SPMT leaves the barge deck and exits the site. Next, it will be transported by the "Aohai Shenzhou" ship to Yangxi Wind Farm for installation.

The project has a tight schedule and heavy tasks, and the booster station has a large weight. During the roll on/roll off process, it is necessary to strictly control the ship's ballast water and combine it with tidal changes to ensure that the booster station can be smoothly rolled on/roll off the ship within the only 2-hour window period; Through scientific planning and reasonable arrangement of preliminary preparation work, the project department successfully rolled it onto the ship. Using SPMT for transportation can effectively solve the limitation of manufacturing site size, with short transportation period and flexible transportation mode. It can ensure the short reverse loading of ships at the dock front while manufacturing in the yard, and meet the schedule requirements during cross operation& The Three Gorges New Energy Yangxi Shaba Phase 345 offshore booster station is currently the largest tonnage and installed capacity booster station in China, and also the first booster station in China to be equipped with three main transformers and three GIS high-voltage equipment. After the project is put into operation, it can save about 884600 tons of standard coal per year and reduce greenhouse gas emissions of about 2.41 million tons of carbon dioxide.
