Bullet tank (LPG tank body) - a semi buried high-pressure liquefied petroleum gas tank body, is an important equipment in the liquefied petroleum gas processing site under construction in the Gulf of Chariz, South Africa. This project is the first shipment project of upgrading Zhongshan Port from a Class II port to a Class I port, and maritime related units at all levels in Zhongshan City have attached great importance to it. There are a total of 4 bullet cans transported this time, each with a diameter of 16 meters, a length of 60 meters, and a weight of approximately 1200 tons. Zhonghai Guangying is responsible for transporting bullet cans from the construction factory to the installation site in South Africa.
Our company uses a 36 axis 48 ton SPMT to roll and load four bullet cans onto the ship in sequence, and the tank body completes a 90 degree turn on the deck before landing. Due to dock reasons, the ship cannot be berthed on the side, which poses significant difficulties for roll on/roll off loading. Additionally, the cargo length is 60 meters and the ship width is only 32 meters, posing high requirements for SPMT loading and ship ballasting operations; After the tank is loaded onto the ship, with a width of 32 meters and a length of 30 meters, it is necessary to complete a 90 degree rotation on the deck, which is equivalent to dancing on the tip of a knife. This greatly tests our company's ability to operate SPMT and the practicality of the preliminary plan.
The success of the entry operation of the 12000 ton deck barge in is a good start for Zhongshan Port to improve its trade capacity. Zhonghai Guangying provides full logistics services for the owners, including picking up, loading, customs clearance, and sea freight from the factory workshop to the port, fully demonstrating our professional capabilities. We also hope to contribute more professional strength in the future.
