Recently, our company invested 94 axis+4PPU and successfully completed the transportation operation of three sections of the main span steel box girder of Jinhai Bridge. The Jinhai Bridge is the longest bridge built in Zhuhai since its establishment. It is an important passage connecting the eastern and western urban areas of Zhuhai, and also the first dual-purpose bridge for highways and light rail built at the mouth of the Pearl River Delta. The Jinhai Bridge connects Hengqin New Area and Zhuhai Jinwan International Airport, crossing the Modaomen Waterway and Niwanmen Waterway through a joint construction of highways and railways, with a total length of 9.5 kilometers. There are a total of three bridge sections for this transportation, with the heaviest weight of about 2468 tons, about 80.25 meters, a width of 49.6 meters, and a height of 5.376 meters.
The use of SPMT for operations in can better improve the efficiency of site utilization, providing a practical, feasible, and cost-effective transportation method for more bridge sections in the future.
After the completion of the project, it can provide a new channel for vehicles entering and exiting Hengqin in the western region, effectively shortening the distance from Hengqin to Zhuhai Airport. It can travel between Jinwan and Hengqin urban areas in 10-15 minutes, greatly improving commuting efficiency.
